'08 Jeep Grand Cherokee

When the 2008 Grand Cherokee was launched, it became very popular in the SUV segment for its bigger version unlike the usual Jeep. The '08 Grand Cherokee is a revised version of the same. The third generation Cherokee is stylish and bullish on performance.

The 2008 Grand Cherokee is available in three trims: the Laredo, Limited and the Overland. It has the most powerful Jeep engine with 420 hp V8. The base model, Laredo is available with a 3.7 liter V6 that produces 210 hp.

For drivers who want more power in their drive, there’s an option of 4.7 liter V8 with 235 hp or 5.7 liter V8 with 330 hp. A somewhat rare model, SRT8, comes with 6.1 liter V8 that can muster 420 hp. This model is available with either two wheel drive or four wheel drive.

It has a car-like chassis rather than the body-on-frame design. The SUV has been known for its powerful performance off road.

'07 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee is now available in a diesel engine and an all-flex-fuel capable V8 engine. The idea of its tough nature can be estimated from its usage in the World War II, extensively.

The four wheel drive of the '07 Grand Cherokee is electronically controlled. It has four wheel anti lock disc brakes and a coil over front suspension.

The 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a typical Jeep with the trademark seven vertical grill designs on the exterior. Though the standard engine is a 3.7 liter V6, but 4.7 liter V8 and 5.7 liter V8 are also optional and available with a displacement technology.

It is available in four trim levels as Laredo, Overland, Limited and SRT8. Depending on the trim levels, the Jeep can be further personalized with keyless entry, power sunroof and heated seats.

'06 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee still has room to fit up to five passengers inside. Now, a two tone instrument panel designed to be perfectly symmetrical faces the driver. The panel also features a four gauge cluster, which itself features red points to go with its LED screen illumination.

There are also three different trim levels available with the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee: the Grand Cherokee Laredo, the Limited, and the Grand Cherokee Overland.

The Laredo models are upholstered in soft cloth, the Limited models feature two toned leather upholstery with perforated inserts, and the Grand Cherokee Overland models come with luxurious suede and leather seat coverings.

Some of the features available for all three models include navigational radio, rear seat DVD entertainment, premium audio systems, and rear park assist. There is ample room for storage and cargo behind the rear seat, and seating in both the front and the back is extremely spacious, roomy, and comfortable, no matter which trim level a driver chooses.

'05 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Much to the delight of both drivers and critics, the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee is just as big and as powerful as its predecessors; in fact, in some cases it is even bigger, although it is not so big that it is now classified in a higher class of size, so it still has room to fit up to five occupants.

The styling is also signature Grand Cherokee despite many changes for the better. The vehicle’s height is about the same but a higher belt like equals out to higher doors and shorter windows. Each head lamp cluster still holds two lights, though now they are round instead of rectangular.

From the side, the '05 Grand Cherokee’s back end is still rounded but overall the silhouette is more vertical and slightly hard edged. The 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes in two different trim levels, the Laredo and the Limited.

Both have black side mirrors, and the Laredo also has black models and door handles, up against a grille that matches body color. The Limited features a chrome grille and the door handles match the body color.
